This sterling cored bead is made from a multi-coloredDolomite Limestone that comes from Augusta County, Virginia. Most of this stone comes from a quarry in Blacksburg which is owned and quarried by Virginia Tech, It adorns most of the buildings on campus and so, is called The Hokie Stone.
