The 2013 ornament, "Lodestar- The Guiding Light" is released! Lodestar is another name for The North Star which is the symbol for guidance. It is "fixed" about the North Pole so ancient mariners it to navigate the seas. In American history, escaping slaves used Lodestar to guide them North to freedom. 
This ornament was designed by Jeremy & Jessica Stocker and is carved by the artisans of Sunapee Graniteworks.
