Kaleidiscope Jasper was discovered in 2008 in Oregon by Dale Rhode and his two sons. In failing health and nearing financial ruin, Dale and his sons set out to prospect a piece of land they had always suspected held something special. Dale waited below as Brian and Derek made the trek to the site. As they crested the hill, Dale could see that their prayers had been answered, they had discovered Kaleidoscope Jasper! What distinguishes Kaleidoscope from other jaspers is the wide range of colors and patterns.
