These beads are crafted from Clio Petrified Wood, part of the Laureales wood family that dates back 63 million years, from Barbour County, Alabama. It was discovered on a catfish farmer's land, at the bottom of his pond by a diver who was making repairs to a pipe.
Petrified Wood is said to heal physically and emotionally and encourages us to live in harmony with Mother Earth.
These beads measure approximately 17mm in diameter with a solid sterling core with an inside diameter of 4.37mm. The Size B bead has a sterling bead cap with symbols that tell our story. You can read about them on our Bead Cap page.
